First of all, for the few new followers, hi! I'm Charbelim, also known as Repertix or unqbic in other socials, glad you enjoyed NG Wanted, sebulant sure did a great job programming and designing the game! The other collaborators also made an amazing job with their icons and I also enjoyed making icons and testing the game! Even if I didn't make any programming tweak on that game, I'm a quite experienced programmer, I've been using Godot since 2020 and making websites since I have memory, I'm not so active, so hope I'm not a hindrace in your NG Feed.


Now a few news about my current projects and such...


Triple Baka DLC

Happy March 31st or April 1st, I don't know... After a few days of hard work, life questioning, some copyright law assesorement with my lawyer and many other excuses to delay it, I present to you the Triple Baka DLC, where you can play as the named DLC characters and a bonus HD character.

Have at it! This update is timed exclusive for desktop! (Not because the game is THAT important, but because I'm reversing this update in the next 48hrs. for obvious reasons...)


I'll be honest with you, I made this in 5 minutes while I was bored, in fact, this "update" has been stored in my hard disk since months ago, so I thought I could brought it up for one day, and that day is today!


Actual ProtEGGct Full Version

In the moment I'm writing this, two things, I should be eating cake and recieving gifts, and second, ProtEGGct has passed the one-development-year threshold, there's some important stuff you gotta know about this full version:

  • It's a kind-of roguelike game
  • Has ranged and melee weapons, of course...
  • You gotta carry your egg almost everytime, even the way out
  • Semi-procedural generated areas (These ones are still yet to polish a lot, but everything's going well)
  • Release Window: 2027-2028. (I'm prioritizing my studies, so the release window could be even extended more!)

Another but small project

I'm working on another game, but this is supposed, and I mean SUPPOSED to be small, I got this gameplay idea from playing Fortnite, you won't even believe I actually got that from that dead game, but yeah, I'm not saying too much, but a prototype has been already been developed and it's looking good, as it's small, the release window is this year, pray I actually release it.

And lastly, I'm working on some art stuff, in order to practice and "git gud", and because I realized no-one can be happy if you cannot express yourself too often, so, if you happen to have a close mind, try being open a bit, it's worth it, I can assure, telling from stranger to stranger.


One last thing, I'm looking to expand a little bit more my game-dev portfolio, so if you're on a game jam, you can DM me if you need a Godot programmer, I'm also available to talk in Bluesky

Did you know the last TF2 Comic Issue was Seven Years late? Some of the game developers of TF2 moved to another projects, quit or were fired from Valve by the time it was published. So unless you're still working at Valve or someone you know does and always speaks about their experiences there, you made it out the other end of update v1.0 historically-speaking-pretty-short three year delay alive. Which isn't too bad.


Enough plagiarism. ProtEGGc, now called ProtEGGct in order to satisfy various pronunciation laws, has been updated to the version 1.0! Wait… how?


Previously I've mentioned I lost the original game source due to me not knowing what GitHub was… Luckily! I discovered the most prestigious power of Uncompiling Godot Games, so I decided to uncompile the released version and fix a lot, and I mean A LOT of things.


The changes could be described as pure Quality of Life tweaks but also various balances to the game, as speeding up the pace and leading with various game design errors, just the enough so you can comprehend what are you doing or what you should do. So, you're not missing too much if you've played previous versions, but atleast you can play it without the game crashing or awfully saving data.


Lastly, Newgrounds API has been reworked in this version and now if you play in the NG Web version, you're logged in automatically and your records will (or should) be saved automatically!


So.. that's it? ProtEGGct is now finished? Not really, ProtEGGct is getting a real v1.0, like, a real real one, but for that, it's going to take some more of time, and time's tricky, you grow up and minutes becomes seconds! Anyways, don't expect any information about this project soon, maybe another project, but this one is a big fish I want to give in the best of the best, so it'd may take lots of effort for it.


I could just keep updating this version and adding stuff, but I've never seen any worse hell than trying to stick with glue and tape what many people know as "spaghetti code", I mean I already did, but doing it again and again it's just not healthy.


Anyways, if you'd like to save your best record or play this game that is not really worth-your-time type, be my guest! I'll be keeping an eye in bug reports :)
